Community of Hope is collecting and giving away new backpacks filled with supplies to school-aged children, the majority of whom live in communities East of the River in Washington, DC. These neighbors are Community of Hope housing clients and our Bellevue neighbors in Ward 8.
As part of the annual event for these community families, the NATCA Charitable Foundation and ONEU purchased packs and supplies, and are hosting a backpack stuffing event in McNally on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, between 11AM and 3PM. Both organizations have donated funds to fill 100 backpacks with critical supplies to equip children for the school year. Our NATCA family has been a valued partner to Community of Hope in helping to generate hundreds of these backpacks over the years!
